Company formation in the UAE — with the real numbers, not the advertised ones.

Baston is a Dubai advisory firm. We set up free zone companies and offshore structures, and we prepare and place the corporate bank account application. Three things, done properly.

What we do

Three services, and nothing outside them

Most business-setup firms list twenty services. We list three, because a company that is registered in the wrong zone, or registered correctly but cannot open a bank account, is not actually set up at all.

01

Free zone company formation

Eleven zones across four emirates, from about AED 4,900 to AED 48,000. The zone you pick determines your activity list, your visa quota and how easily a bank will take you.

Zone licence from about AED 4,900 Compare all zones →
02

Offshore company formation

RAK ICC, JAFZA Offshore and Ajman Offshore. Holding vehicles for shares, property and intellectual property — no visas, no UAE trading, and only one of them holds Dubai property properly.

Government fee from AED 3,250 Compare the registries →
03

Corporate bank account

The part that decides whether the company works. We prepare the full compliance pack and route the application to banks that have appetite for your profile.

Why us

We publish what other firms leave out

The real price
Every headline free zone price is a bare licence. Add a residence visa and the first year costs one and a half to two times the advertised figure. We quote the landed number.
Which prices are real
Only six of the fourteen registries we cover publish their own tariff. The other eight are agent quotations that move by 20 to 70 per cent for the identical licence. We mark which is which.
The traps, in writing
One Dubai zone advertises "from AED 12,000" and lands at roughly AED 51,000 once its compulsory office is added. Another still shows a price schedule dated 2020. We name them.
Bank appetite first
Some zones are difficult to bank and always have been. That belongs in the conversation before you register, not after the licence is issued.
What has changed
Since 2025 a free zone company can trade on the Dubai mainland under a branch licence. Economic substance filing no longer applies to financial years from 2023 onward. Most comparison sites have not caught up.

How we charge

Two numbers, kept apart

Almost every complaint about this industry is the same story: quoted five thousand, paid twenty-five. It happens because the government fee and the consultant's fee are bundled into one figure, so nobody can see which part went up. We keep them separate.

Government & zone fees
Passed through at cost, with the authority's own receipt attached. We do not mark them up and we do not round them. Every figure on the free zone page comes from the zone's published tariff or, where none exists, from a written quotation we obtained.
Our service fee
Quoted as a single figure before any work starts, and it does not move afterwards. If the scope changes, we tell you what the new figure is and why, before doing the work.
What makes the total rise
Four things, and we will tell you which apply to you at the first conversation: the activity needing external approval, the number of residence visas, a physical office instead of a flexi-desk, and the difference between first-year and renewal rates.
What we will not do
Advertise a low headline that only holds for a licence nobody actually wants, then rebuild it into something usable once you have paid a deposit.
